Grilling Season Is Here & Safety Is Important
Always remember these tips regarding propane:
•Store propane tanks in a cool area
•When installing a new tank of propane make sure all the connections are tight.
•Never store or use the propane tank indoors
•When transporting your propane tank always keep in a secure upright position
•A propane tank is good for 12 years from the date of manufacture, which can be found on the rim of your propane tank. Please do NOT ask us to fill an out dated tank. The law is for both your and our protection!
•The propane tank should be in good condition.
A new propane tank MUST be “purged” prior to filling the tank with good propane.
We fill propane tanks up to 100lbs.

Why Should You Wash Your Car?
- The sun produces ultraviolet rays which attack your paint finish. It gets dull and fades. The pores open and paint absorbs dirt. DO wash your car weekly!
- Road salt and snow melting chemicals. These can play havoc with your paint finish and underside of your car. They can quickly destroy your paint if not washed off. These chemicals are the prime cause of body rot and rust-out.
- Bird droppings. Their acids are strong enough to melt a spot right through your paint! If you park your car under trees, watch out. You're in for plenty of spotting and stains.
- Tree sap. This stuff rains down on your car. You can't really see it when it's happening, but if you look close enough, you'll see pinhead size clear droplets on the paint surface. This gooey stuff really sticks. Wash it off as soon as possible. Otherwise it turns black as the sun bakes it! Then simple washing won't even budge it!
Why Worry About Acid Rain?
Acid rain contains carbonic, nitric and sulfuric acids. Carbonic and nitric acids evaporate – sulfuric acid becomes more concentrated and concentrated sulfuric acid is what etches the clear coat of your auto’s finish. Engines heat or parking in the sun increased the effects of acid rain!
Beware of Static Electricity at the Gas Pumps
There is a deadly danger that lurks at the gas station, yet few people may be aware of it. Since the early 1990’0 129 fires have broken out at the pumps, killing some people and wounding others according to the Petroleum Equipment Institute.
The fires were ignited by static electricity and most occurred after the ump was left running and the person reentered the vehicle to keep warm or retrieve a wallet. Re-entering the vehicle can potentially create friction against the car seat, which will bulk up static electricity in the body. When removing the nozzle from the gas tan, sparks from the static electricity are capable of causing a fire. Make sure to ground yourself by touching a piece of metal – like your door before you touch the pump once it has filled up your gas tank (or go to a Full service gas station). The point is to touch something besides the nozzle to discharge the electricity form your body.
