Our Story

Our story began long before we opened our doors. Denise and I first met in elementary school and became best friends. That friendship grew into something more when we started dating in ninth grade, beginning a lifelong journey built on family, hard work, and a shared passion for the car wash industry.

Both of us were introduced to the car wash business at a young age through Denise’s father, who owned and operated several car wash locations in Western New York. Growing up around the industry taught us the importance of dedication, quality service, and taking pride in our work.

After high school, I followed my passion for skiing and moved to Steamboat, Colorado while continuing to build my professional experience working at a local dealership, where I quickly advanced to become the Detail Lot Manager. Denise stayed in Buffalo while pursuing her education and working in the physical therapy field. After completing her schooling, we eventually moved to Colorado together.

Before our wedding in 2000, we returned to Buffalo to be closer to family and help with the family car wash business while building our own future. Denise continued her career in physical therapy and later became a massage therapist, while remaining actively involved in the car wash industry.

In 2003, shortly after the birth of our first daughter, Savanna, we opened our first DR. HUGGS CAR WASH location in Grand Island, New York. We later expanded our business with two self-serve locations in Depew and West Seneca.

Our daughters, Savanna and Sierra, grew up around the business and learned the value of hard work, dedication, and taking pride in what they do.

Today, DR. HUGGS CAR WASH continues to be family owned and operated. We take great pride in providing exceptional vehicle care, from complete detailing services to our high-end ceramic coating options, while treating every customer and every vehicle like family.

For over 23 years, we have been grateful for the support of our loyal customers and the Western New York community. We are proud of our amazing staff and look forward to continuing to serve our customers for many years to come.
